Cuba is not a member of the IMF or the World Bank, so neither the IMF's World Economic Outlook nor the World Bank's debt statistics cover it, and we could find no official figure for the government's total debt. The estimates in circulation are model projections, not measurements.
Until 16 October 2026 this page showed a figure of $18 billion. It had no recorded source, so it was removed. Cuba is excluded from the rankings and from the world total until a figure with a source exists.
